JGS with Doug & Ryan Stewart

Saturday night we grabbed our Sony Bloggies and covered the fabulous annual charity event put on by national radio hosts and ESPN analysts Doug and Ryan Stewart of the famed 2 Live Stews Radio Show. This star –studded event was put on in support of The Stewart Education Foundation (TSEF) during HBCU Alumni Reunion Weekend at the Bill Lowe Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia.

Doug & Ryan Stewart, host, 2 Live Stews

Since the beginning the Stews’ mission of TSEF has always been to promote, encourage and support education and mentoring by providing financial assistance, raising public awareness and partnering with colleges, universities and local mentoring organizations. In addition, TSEF seeks to impact education by cultivating a specific area of need – the presence and active involvement of African American men in K through 12 classrooms and in mentoring roles across America.

Ryan and Doug Addressing the Crowd

To add to their annual charity event, the Stews teamed up with Crown Royal to add a social media component. Now get this for every Tweet about the event, TSEF or a donation, Crown Royal will donate $100, up to a total of $10,000, to TSEF. All donations serve to support teaching and learning in public schools in Atlanta and across the country.

Atlanta Falcon John Abraham with Doug & Ryan Stewart

Now in addition to this great cause there were a lot of celebrity sightings such as Atlanta Falcon John Abraham, former Falcon Chuck Smith, rapper Pastor Troy, television personality/actress Rashan Ali, and on the turntables all night was the infamous DJ Kid Capri. The most interesting sighting of the night was to see Rashan Michel whisk through the crowd as if he didn’t want to be recognized by media or attendees. If you don’t remember who Rashan Michel is, he’s the guy back in April who got into a fight with NBA Hall of Famer Dominique Wilkins at the conclusion of an Atlanta Hawks game over money that Wilkins supposedly owed Michel for some suits. See now you’re saying, ‘Oh yeah…that dude!’.

JGS with the Sony Bloggie Touch Camera

Now at Jersey Girl Sports we’re always looking for newest, hippest, most tech savvy way to bring the all the sports news and entertainment that there is to offer, and I believe we found it. At the event we were able to use the hottest camera on the market, the Sony Bloggie Touch Camera. With this new camera you are able to capture Full HD video and 12.8-megapixel still shots at a moment’s notice.
The great thing about this is its simplicity of a single record button and a large touch screen for showcasing all of your shots – this camera took me from being a picture taker to a photographer in a matter of seconds!  All the fun is stored on built-in memory, and you can easily upload your movies to your favorite social networking sites like Youtube and Facebook. Ladies what better way to capture the moments of your life with your girlfriends, family or kids?!
This is the camera fits easily in your pocket or purse, and is affordable starting at $149. The new Sony Bloggie Touch Camera is the Jersey Girl Sports recommendation for all of your picture taking and video needs.
