I don’t know WHY athletes can’t stay out of the clubs!
The latest club “drama” victim is Minnesota Vikings running back (and Jersey Girl Sports hottie) Adrian Peterson. Peterson was arrested and charged with resisting arrest after it took three officers to subdue him.
It seems Peterson and his entourage were at a Houston nightclub and at and/or near closing time they were advised to leave. In other words, “You ain’t go to go home, but----“ –(you know the rest). Sorry, I digressed. Anyways, Peterson and his entourage were asked to leave a second time, after which Peterson allegedly told the officer that he heard him the first time and pushed him in the shoulder, causing him to stumble.
So, that didn’t go over too well. He was advised he was under arrest and to put his hands behind his back, and then he allegedly started screaming, yelling and pulling away; that’s what officers considered an “aggressive stance”. He was arrested and released on $1,000 bond. The charge is a misdemeanor.
I would suggest that Mr. Peterson stay out and away from "da club" and start entertaining friends in spaces that don't put him in situations that could damage his career.
Besides, the NFL season starts in eight weeks, and the Vikings need
a healthy Adrian Peterson.
