Adrian Peterson To Be Reinstated By NFL; Will He Stay With The Vikings?

After several months of turmoil and personal and professional chaos, famed Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson will be reinstated by the NFL on Friday and officially a member of the Minnesota Vikings roster. But for how long? Rumors have been circulating about Peterson possibly being traded to the Cowboys or the Cardinals. For now, however, the Vikings hold all the trump cards. Peterson still has a  contract with the Vikings through 2017 and is set to make nearly $13 million in 2015.  In the meantime, his head will be around getting back to football and complying with the terms of his reinstatement.
"Beyond the requirement to comply with his court obligations and plan of counseling, Peterson was reminded that his continuing participation in the NFL depends on his avoidance of any further conduct that violates the Personal Conduct Policy or other NFL policies. Any further violation of the Personal Conduct Policy by Peterson would result in additional discipline, which could include suspension without pay or banishment from the NFL.
While he could be traded, I highly doubt it. Peterson is still a force to reckoned with on the gridiron, and the Vikings would be smart to keep him. In  a statement, they seemed happy to have him back.
"The Minnesota Vikings have been informed by the NFL that Adrian Peterson has been reinstated. We look forward to Adrian re-joining the Vikings."
I'm glad Peterson is back to football. I think the issues he's dealing with are personal and he'll continue to deal with them. In the meantime, I hope he has his best year ever.  If he breaks a few more NFL records, people will forget all about this incident. Touchdowns seems to cause forgetfulness.
