I’m so excited for Pro Bowl Fullback for the Atlanta Falcons and Jersey Girl Sports’ friend, Ovie Mughelli, as he plans his 3rd Annual Green Tailgate Experience and Fundraiser this December 31 from 5:00-7:30pm at the Buckhead Bottle Bar & Restaurant. This event is to raise money and awareness for the quality environmental programs for the Ovie Mughelli Foundation. This year the foundation is proud to announce Atlanta-based Novelis, the world’s leading producer of rolled aluminum and the global leader in beverage can recycling, as the Presenting Sponsor. In addition Jim Ellis Audi of Atlanta will also serve as a signature sponsor of this Tailgate event.
This pre-New Year’s Eve reception, designed to be a distinguished and engaging environmental experience, will welcome around 200 guests to a private, Eco-themed evening. The celebratory event will rally the great matchup on January 1 between Atlanta and Tampa Bay, and offers fun-filled activities for an Earth-friendly event. Additionally, Mughelli’s teammates and Falcons staff are expected to attend. At last year’s event, special guests Falcon’s Matt Ryan, Tony Gonzales, Michael Turner and Jason Snelling were in attendance.
“We are dedicated to being the world’s greenest aluminum company, and we are pleased to partner with the Ovie Mughelli Foundation, an organization that shares our commitment to sustainability,” said Phil Martens, President and Chief Executive Officer for Novelis Inc. “In supporting the Ovie Mughelli Foundation, Novelis is able to reach further into our community to promote the importance of aluminum beverage can recycling as a key element in the proactive stewardship of our environment.”
“We have received rave reviews and that’s why we’re making the Green Tailgate Experience an annual event due to its purpose and impact on our youth,” explains Mughelli. “We’re honored to use this event to raise awareness about the environment, and we anticipate some great Eco-challenges, raffles, memorabilia, photos, and great New Year’s Eve fun.”
