Bill in California Could Ban Unruly Fans from Games

This is for all of you who have EVER acted up, lost your temper, got into a fight or cussed someone out as a result of your favorite team losing or your favorite player not making a play.

In the state of California a bill has been proposed in an effort to prevent violence at professional sporting events such as last year’s near-fatal beating of a San Francisco Giants fan at Dodger Stadium.

This proposal would be the country’s first sports “ban list” that would block unruly fans from attending professional games anywhere in the state of California for up to five years.

Things such as heckling and throwing beer would not fall under the bill. Also the bill doesn’t apply to minor league or college games.

I’m excited to hear this. If this bill gets passed in California, this could be a way of life in other states as well.

We’ll keep you updated to let you know if this bill gets passed.

Marcelle English
