Scott may be what the Lakers need. He knows and understands their "system" something that D'Antoni apparently didn't "get" as head coach. Scott, also a former Lakers player himself, understand the team's dynamic. Though he's butted heads with Kobe Bryant in the past, Scott is tough and can bring a good defensive strategy. Scott also has the ability to use players in positions they're best suited for their talents and skills, and let's face it - the Lakers need talent. Other names being tossed around as possibilities for head coach are Steve Kerr, Lionel Hollins and European coach Ettore Messina. The Lakers definitely need to rebuild.
