We really haven’t heard much from Chad Johnson since his head-butting incident with now ex-wife Evelyn Lozada and the Miami Dolphins released him. Now it seems Johsnon is finally rising from the ashes and trying to make a football comeback – just not in the NFL.

Johnson has signed with the Canadian Football League’s Montreal Alouettes according the the team’s Twitter feed.

While this isn’t the NFL, Johsnon is just happy to be back doing something that he loves.

“A dream of mine since I was 4 years old was taken from me, rightfully so, by my wrongdoings and I just want to get back to doing something that I love to do, regardless of where it is,” Johnson said, according to the New York Daily News. “Montreal, flag football, back in the street the way I grew up. I just want to play football.”

Who knows this could lead Johnson back to the NFL, but with his age and the number of unproductive seasons, maybe not? Well the NFL has taken chances on worst.

Way to go Chad!
