Cleveland Brown’s Desmond Bryant sued for showing up at a home drunk
What’s up with people drinking all night and then showing up and showing OUT at random houses? That’s exactly what a couple says happened to them when Cleveland Brown’s defensive lineman Desmond Bryant showed up at their home in the early morning hours on February 24th.
In a lawsuit filed against Bryant in the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court, Isaac and Iris Bakar say the 6’3″ 311 lbs. Bryant showed up at their home around 5:30AM shirtless and drunk having partied all night in South Beach. They allege Bryant tried to yank open the door while Mr. Bakar tried to stop him.
Bryant, 27, was arrested on a misdemeanor criminal mischief charge and they seek unspecified damages, as their attorney Robert Fiore states, “to hold Mr. Bryant legally accountable for his inexcusable conduct and the resulting trauma to my clients.”
Bryant’s mugshot went viral and for good reason. Bryant looks to be mentally challenged at best with his tongue sticking out, head back and his eyes half closed.
Really, dude? You wouldn’t guess from the picture that he just signed a 5-year, $34 million contact with the Browns, with $15 million guaranteed.
In fairness to Bryant, he is actually a decent looking guy:
The good news is that he realized the mistake he made and has apologized:
“I think I have done enough over the years I have been in the league to exhibit that that’s really not the kind of person that I am. I think in time I will be able to show you guys and whoever else wants to know that’s really not indicative of me,” Bryant said.
Well, that may be true Bryant. In the meantime, it’ll cost you.
