It seems the very contentious custody case involving NFL Hall-of-Famer and NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders and his estranged soon-to-be ex-wife Pilar Biggers has been resolved with Sanders coming out as the victor.
According to various media outlets, Sanders won full custody of his two sons, 11 and 13 he has with Biggers, and will have joint custody of their 9-year-old daughter. Like any nasty divorce, there were allegations on both sides with Pilar alleging that Sanders had both steroids and guns in their home. Despite her claims, a Dallas court ruled against her.
“I think the whole reason we’re here is not about kids, it’s about money. Let’s call it what it is,” said Sanders before the verdict was announced. “They refuted the pre-nuptial. We beat them in court regarding the children and we’re back. We’ll be back again [for] something else.”
I hope, at least for the sake of the children that this is over. It is hard for children to be caught in the middle of divorce.
At least for now, this has quieted down, and Deion Sanders is happy. In fact, he tweeted:
“Thanks to all who prayed for me and my children. The truth is what it is. Never doubt God. Truth.”
The truth is, when two people are involved, the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle.
I hope both Pilar and Deion can maintain civility.
