DNA found on Arizona rape victim a match for Darren Sharper

We’ve gone from bad, to worse, to absolutely dismal. The DNA found the alleged Arizona rape victim is a match for Darren Sharper. According to the testimony of a Tempe police detective, semen matching Darren Sharper’s DNA was found on the leggings of one of his alleged rape victims in Arizona. From

Testing also revealed a partial DNA match for Sharper on the genitals of the same woman, who had no prior relationship with the former NFL star, said Det. Kevin Mace. The woman was one of two allegedly raped by Sharper on Nov. 21 after partying with them and drugging them with the prescription sedative zolpidem, the generic form of Ambien.

Other evidence was presented as prosecutors tried to persuade the judge that Sharper needs to remain behind bars until the trial. His lawyer disagreed saying he is entitled to post bail while waiting for trial.

Sharper, 38, is under investigation in five states for nine rapes. He’s been officially charged in Arizona and in Los Angeles. The testimonies of the alleged victims, along with DNA evidence is now in question and being presented pre-trial as to whether Sharper will be able to get out on bail.  Sharper has been in jail for nearly two months while waiting to get out on bail.

This is serious. I’m not sure Sharper will get out on bail, at all, In fact, I’m not sure he’ll ever see the outside of a jail or prison.

I am still shocked by this whole situation.
