ESPN Anchor Battles Cancer For Third Time
Whether you are an avid sports nut or just the occasional fan you know the name of ESPN anchor Stuart Scott. While he usually reports the news of others, Monday night Scott reported news about his own life.
Monday night Scott took to Twitter and announced that he was battling cancer for the third time.
“Blessed by prayers..I’m back in the Fight. C reared its head again. Chemo evry 2 wks but I’ll still work, still work out..still #LIVESTRONG”
Scott was first diagnosed with cancer in 2007 when it was found in his appendix. Scott remained cancer free until 2011 when tumors were found in his small intestine. Now for the third time Scott will be battling for his life.
After receiving a flood of tweets, Scott promptly responded saying:
“Thanks for prayers..ill fight w ALL C survivors & loved ones. Cancer wants to re-appear..picked the right guy cuz I HIT HARD all day long!!”
It was not revealed this time where the cancer was found. ESPN spokesman Mike Soltys told USA Today Sports that Scott “plans to continue to work the best he can around his treatments.”
Our prayers and best wishes go out to Scott during this battle.
