FIFA rejects appeal of Luis Suarez four-month ban for biting opposing player

FIFA has rejected the appeal filed by Luis Suarez and the Uruguay national team regarding the four-month ban on Luis Suarez. In case you missed it, Suarez bit opposing Italian player Giorgio Chiellini during a recent World Cup match–and it was disgusting!

World Cup fans were outraged and angry! Not only was Suarez completely out of line, but he has a history of this behavior. From USA Today Sports:

The Liverpool star was banned for nine competitive international matches, four months from all football and fined 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000) for biting the shoulder of Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s 1-0 win over Italy in a group-stage game in Brazil.

It is the third time Suarez has been banned for biting an opponent, after similar incidents at both Ajax in the Dutch league and Liverpool in the English Premier League.

It’s his third time?? Three strikes and he might need to be out–permanently!
