Former NBA Player, Dennis Rodman Shows Up In North Korea
There is nothing simple, or for that fact common about former NBA player, Dennis Rodman. Even during his days on the court, Rodman was all about the element of surprise. While some of his antics came off as crazy stunts, Rodman kept us on our toes.
So when I heard that Dennis Rodman was in North Korea, a look of confusion came across my face.
According to the Associated Press, Rodman showed up in North Korea with members of the Harlem Globetrotters and a VICE correspondent for a news show on North Korea that will air on HBO later this year.
“It’s my first time, I think it’s most of these guys’ first time here, so hopefully everything’s going to be OK, and hoping the kids have a good time for the game,” Rodman told reporters after arriving in Pyongyang.
Rodman and the VICE producers will be putting on a camp for the kids of North Korea and playing a little ball with some of North Korea’s popular basketball players.
Rodman’s trip is the second high-profile American visit this year to North Korea, a country that remains in a state of war with the United States.
I really don’t understand what goes through Dennis Rodman’s mind some time. Even after reading all the press releases and stories I’m confused on why Rodman was in the hostile country. No matter how strange the story, the antics of Rodman never cease to amaze me.
