According to CBSSports.com the San Francisco 49ers have traded a conditional 7th-round draft pick to Miami in exchange for Johnathan Martin. The embattled tackle, now at the heart of the harassment scandal led by Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito, has kept a low profile since the drama unfolded but showed up in Twitter yesterday talking about his move west:
Given the circumstances surrounding Richie Incognito and the bullying, Martin probably wouldn’t or couldn’t, rather, be a productive player with the team. Trading him was the right move and he obviously agrees. Besides, he has a better chance at getting a Super Bowl ring with the 49ers than with the Dolphins. At least right now.
