Over the weekend Johnny Manziel showed us that he’s not just hot in football but also hot in the baseball.

On Saturday the San Diego Padres drafted the Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback with the 837th overall pick in the 2014 MLB Draft.

“He certainly loves baseball,” Padres general manager Josh Byrnes told reporters. “We kind of talked about it at that time, ‘Do you want us to draft you?’ He said, ‘Yeah, absolutely.’ “

While Manziel has never talked about playing in the MLB but was gracious for the thought by thanking the Padres in a tweet.

But no worry Browns fans, Manziel will be putting on his quarterback hat come football season. But it does make you wonder, Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders both played football and baseball, and had successful careers in both.
