After the summer that Kris Humphries had, it’s nice to see him get some R-E-S-P-E-C-T on the court.

Last night’s season opener started off a little rocky as Humphries was introduced he was greeted to a booing Washington Wizards arena. But it was Humphries who had the last laugh finishing the night with 21 points and 16 rebounds, to help New Jersey erase a 21-point deficit and come back to beat Washington 90-84 in both teams’ season opener.

After the game Kris said, “it’s motivation. People are yelling at you; you’ve got to perform, you’ve got to play hard. They might want to have a reason to say something. You want to try and give them that reason. For me, it’s just makes it a little hostile environment — and it’s kind of fun to play in that environment.”

I’m still trying to figure out what did Kris Humphries do that was so bad. Ok, he had a 72-day marriage to a reality star that didn’t work out. So what? Kris has been in the league for years, going from team to team just wanting to play ball. Now I do believe for a grown man he’s a little naïve, but who isn’t when they go into a relationship with the rose colored glasses on. Let this man play ball, divorce that girl and hopefully move on with his life.
