Lakers Refute Talks of Reported Feud eud

The only good news coming out of the Lakers camp is news of the recent engagement of Jeannie Buss and Phil Jackson. The team is struggling with a 15-18 record, whisperings of discord between teammates, and injuries. To top it off center, Pau Gasol is suffering from a concussion and will be out indefinitely. Kobe Bryant has made no secret of his disappointment with the team’s play and overall effort of his teammates. He has done everything from threatening to open up a can of whoop-a** to get the Lakers inspired to expressing his frustration with an old as s*** team. Teammate Dwight Howard has responded by accusing the Lakers of having a lack of chemistry and suggesting they engage in off the court bonding to improve the situation. Now reports have surfaced by the New York Daily News regarding a Bryant-Howard heated exchange in the locker room after a loss to the Sixers. According to the story the two had to be pulled apart by teammates. Both players have denied the incident and in response to the story, Bryant and Howard posted a mock photo of them appearing to square up against one another in the locker room with coach, Mike D’Antoni playfully in the middle. Bryant tweeted the photo along with the words “the mamba vs d12!! it’s on lol”.  Howard tweeted the same photo and the caption “the re match lol” kobe-bryant-dwight-howard-fight “It’s just funny. We’re losing. Every little story that comes out is geared towards breaking our team up,” Howard said to the Los Angeles Times. “We’re bigger than that. We’re stronger than that and we’re not going to let anything divide us.” The first phase in healing is the ability to laugh at yourself so perhaps the rebuttal is the first step on the road towards team chemistry and bonding and ultimately winning so that Showtime can actually go back to being what is happening ON the court.
