The show will air at 9 p.m. EST on January 17th on OWN and Oprah.com.
While part of me wants to see what Lance is going to say, the only thing that will make this interview big news is if he admits to using the drugs. I can’t know how many of us want to sit through 60 minutes of ‘I didn’t use performance enhancing drugs’. Regardless the conversation might be interesting for no other reason than its Oprah.
Your Jersey Girlfriend,
When you are a celebrity or athlete and things aren’t going right in your life, you have a list of people that you call, for instance your lawyer, your publicist, and oh yeah…your mama. But the one person that you hope calls you for your side of the story is the Queen of Talk herself, Oprah Winfrey.
With all of the trouble that former cyclist Lance Armstrong has seen in the last 12 months, the only person that he feels comfortable bearing his soul to these days is Oprah. Armstrong will give Oprah a “tell-all” interview where he will address the allegations that he used performance-enhancing drugs during his cycling career.
According to a release posted on Oprah's website on Tuesday, it's the first interview with Armstrong since his athletic career crumbled under the weight of a massive report by USADA detailing allegations of drug use by the famous cyclist and teammates on his U.S. Postal Service teams.
