Man commits suicide at Sprint Cup race

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP)~ The Tarrant County (Texas) medical examiner said a man who died at the NRA 500 at the Texas Motor Speedway died due to suicide. Fort Worth police said 42-year-old Kirk Franklin of Saginaw, Texas was camping in the infield died of a "self-inflicted injury" after getting into an argument with other campers. Police think alcohol may have played a factor, and there were several witnesses to the incident, but no one was in danger. According to USA Today Sports, Track spokesman Mike Zizzo say the death occurred "in or around a pickup truck" in part of the infield near the middle of the backstretch. This is so sad. I'm sure more was going on in Franklin's life that is known at this time.  We never know what is going on in someone's life. Your Jersey Girlfriend, ~Angela Davis
