There’s alot of hype, talk and yes, high expectations around the new FOX Sports 1 (FS1) network. The new alternative to ESPN must deliver to picky sports fans who want something new and not just another regular sports network. This week,  FS1 announced the talent for its flagship show, FOX Sports Live:

Jay Onrait, Dan O’Toole, Charissa Thompson, Andy Roddick, Gary Payton, Donovan McNabb, and Ephraim Salaam. According to Awful

The anchors will receive breaking news and updates from Don Bell and Ryan Field, while Julie Stewart-Binks and Molly McGrath will also serve as correspondents.

They will have an opinion-editorial style segment which will be hosted by Charissa Thompson and we’re hoping it’s not so contrived, but builds show topics around solid foundations.

Here’s a look at the making of the network:

Even if you’re not interested in another sports network, this is at least worth watching once. They have some good talent who should bring some fresh perspectives. We’ve all gotten comfortable with ESPN, and that’s not a bad thing.

Something new doesn’t hurt either.
