Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus, fined for disturbing the peace

Marcus Jordan is in trouble again–this time in Omaha.

Last month he was in Omaha for the U.S. Olympic swim trials and arrested after police responded to an early-morning call at an Embassy Suites hotel. According to a police report, an off-duty officer working security for the hotel was trying to subdue Jordan as he argued with two women in the driveway. Jordan was “very animated, intoxicated and uncooperative.”

Apparently Marcus didn’t know the man was working security and hours after his release he went back to the police station and apologized for his behavior.

Jordan is enrolled at Central Florida but no longer a member of the basketball team. He averaged 13.7 points for UCF last season.

I’m glad he’s putting this situation behind him, but he’s starting to create a history that is painting a not-so-good picture. We’re all sypathetic to the antics of youth, but we all somehow expect more of those with unlimited resources.

Maybe we should lower our expectations. What do you think?
