I was hoping that Ndamukong Suh would stay out of the public eye and lay low during his two game suspension, but it seems that’s not the case.
UPDATE: One of the passengers in his car from Saturday’s crash now say that they WERE injured, and Suh lied about the cause of the accident and number of passengers in the car–which contradicts his statments to police.
Suh said he tried to avoid a taxi cab and lost control of the vehicle. He also said no one was injured.
However, according to one of the passengers Suh was driving recklessly:
“When the light turned green, he floored it,” one of the passengers, who asked to remain anonymous, said. “I just remember going so fast and it was violent and just getting thrown around like rag dolls.”
According to the passenger was also injured and Suh refused to have an ambulance come to the scene even after she asked him. According to the passenger, Suh told her she was “o.k.” The passenger suffered a cut eyebrow, a black eye and a cut lip that required stitches. A second passenger verified the woman’s claims but did not speak on camera.
Apparently more than 50 people saw the crash one of whom made a statement confirming the passenger’s claim that Suh was driving recklessly and they never saw a taxi cab.
Hmm…something in the milk ain’t clean!
First, to the passenger, why didn’t YOU call 9-1-1 if you needed it? Or ask the police to call them when they came on the scene? WHY didn’t the police check the passengers for injuries instead of just taking Suh’s word for it?
This is just a hot mess! And Suh, really needs to settle down.
After his stomping tirade on the field, ridiculous apology, the re-apology, two-game suspension, and the denied appeal to that suspension, I would think he would take this time to reflect and get his head right to get Detroit back in good position for the playoffs.
Hopefully, he’ll do that now and as my grandmother used to say, “get somewhere and sit down!”
