NFL getting involved after Browns fan throws beer on Titans players
by Angela Davis
NFL fans are passionate about their teams, no doubt, but some of this behavior is getting out of order. The NFL is now getting involved and investigating an incident after Tennessee Titans cornerback Logan Ryan complained on Twitter about a fan spraying beer on him at FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday.
A fan wearing a Baker Mayfield jersey doused Ryan and some of his teammates with beer after they celebrated Malcolm Butler‘s pick-six at the wall behind the end zone. Butler’s touchdown capped the scoring in the Titans’ 43-13 rout of the Browns.
Logan Ryan tweeted about the incident prompting the NFL security to get involved.
✔ · Sep 9, 2019 They can pour beer on us because we’re just athletes right? We’re just entertainment & since they purchased a ticket they can act how they want? @NFL @NFLPA @Browns @Titans https://twitter.com/jwyattsports/status/1170888580983640064 …
I completely agree with him! This is behavior is beyond ridiculous, though I’m not surprised. With the advent of social media, fans now feel closer and more connected to players and their lives. As a result they feel more entitled to express how they feel about players–no matter how ridiculous it is.
I hope the NFL finds this guys and bans him from games for life. If ANY of those players would have retaliated they would be suing and calling the players “thugs”. Fans canNOT act how they want.
What do you think?
