Ray Lewis Set to Return to the Ravens
Things just got a whole lot happier for the 9-2 Baltimore Ravens.
Michael Silver of Yahoo Sports citing several sources, is reporting that linebacker Ray Lewis, the heart and soul of the the Baltimore Ravens is expected to return by Week 15.
“For the greatest player in Ravens history to be able to return from this injury and come on this championship run with us? When he was said to be down and out? Man, that’s critical mass. When he comes through that tunnel, that’s gonna be the earthquake and the Tsunami,” Ravens linebacker told Yahoo Sports.
Lewis was placed on the injured/designated return list last month despite the Ravens being unsure of his ability to return.
Never count Lewis, who biked 40 (yes- 40!!) Miles a day over the summer and drank vegetable juice to redefine his body into a lean, mean fighting machine out. He is truly a force to be reckoned with.
Sources close to Lewis say that he is undergoing an intensive platelet rich plasma therapy similar to the one Hines Ward used to recover from a knee injury and play in a victorious Superbowl XLIII for the Steelers. In fact, Lewis could practice as early as Thursday.
“You’ve got eyes- what do you expect to happen? I’m here to support my team” said Lewis to Yahoo Sports on the sidelines at Sunday’s game against the Chargers.
We see you Ray…………..
