Redeemed NFL Player Brian Banks’ Accuser Ordered To Pay $2.6 Million (VIDEO)

The woman who falsely accused NFL player Brian Banks of rape which landed him in jail for five years has been ordered to pay $2.6 million in a judgment.  RELATED: VIDEO - Wanetta Gibson Admits Lying About Rape   In 2002, Wanetta Gibson accused Brian Banks of rape when they both attended Long Beach (Calif.) Poly High, where he was a star player. The accusation and resulting conviction cause Banks to lose his scholarship to USC and to lose his freedom spending five years in prison. Gibson then sued the Long Beach Unified School District for being unsafe and won a $1.5 million judgment. She later confessed that she lied and Banks was released in 2012. Gibson must now repay a $750,000 settlement to the LBUSD plus attorney fees, interest and more than $1 million in punitive damages.  The good news is that Banks, now 27, played in the UFL and then signed with the Atlanta Falcons in April, seeing his dreamed realized.   While Banks has moved on with his life, I think Ms. Gibson should have several seats -- IN JAIL! She should find out what it feels like to lose her freedom. This time though, her incarceration would be justified and based on the truth--which is that her lie almost cost Banks' his life. She also then took money from the school based on that lie, so she's also a thief. According to BlackLegalIssues.com she has a history if legal issues:
Lawyers were unable to locate Gibson, who has a history of civil litigation claims by and against her, including temporary restraining orders and domestic abuse charges. It's reported she also is being sued by the county for child support after receiving public assistance. The ruling allows the school district to get the money through her future wages and property.
Again, I don't think suing her is enough and I also think this is another wake-up call to our justice system. How many other Brian Banks are there? What do you think? Your Jersey Girlfriend, ~Angela Davis
