Remembering Pat Tillman: A real football hero

It's not everyday that you hear about a man leaving behind the fame, money and glory of the NFL to serve his country. It's not everyday a man goes from NFL safety to U.S. Army soldier but that's what Pat Tillman did. As we honor our veterans today, we want to remember the former safety for the Arizona Cardinals who died from friendly fire while serving in Afghanistan.
Tillman was the first professional football player to be killed in combat since Bob Kalsu, who died in the Vietnam War in 1970. Tillman was posthumously laterally promoted from Specialist to Corporal. He also received posthumous Silver Star and Purple Heart medals.
