Rex Ryan is NOT a happy coach. In fact, he ripped the team a “new one” for the internal fighting that has been going on the past few days during practice.
It seems the Jets just can’t get it together, because moments after his rant, two more fights broke out.
It seems the Jets are a team out of control and if Rex Ryan doesn’t get control of the situation, they will enter the season losers before they play their first game.
On the sideline, owner Woody Johnson downplayed the situation to reporters’ concerns that there’s a serious problem with the team. “No, not at all,” he said. “This is camp. They’ve been hitting each other for two weeks now, so things are going to boil over. They boil over every year in every camp. I mean, it’s not just the New York Jets. To me, that was pretty minor.”
Minutes later, his team was fighting again.
I know and understand the elevated levels of testosterone and heated energy that comes with the game of football, but this seems to be a bit personal. I think there’s more to this story.
What do you think?
