He was arrested again today on new child sex abuse charges involving two additional people who Pennsylvania prosecutors said came forward after initial charges were announced last month. Prosecutors say the two were identified through The Second Mile, a charity founded by Sandusky for at-risk children. Like the other 8 alleged victims, the 9th victim testified to the Grand Jury that initial behavior like wrestling, tickling, etc. seemed innocent, but then escalated to where "additional sex acts were allegedly performed in the swimming pool and jacuzzi of a hotel in the State College area, at times when the pool area was not occupied." According to the grand jury, Sandusky told Victim 9 that he "loved and cared for him and urged him to keep their activities secret...victim 10 also detailed incidents which occurred at a swimming pool on the Penn State Campus, along with an encounter in a car when Sandusky allegedly exposed himself and requested oral sex from the boy," the grand jury said. The new charges include four counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and two counts of unlawful contact with a minor, all of them first-degree felonies punishable by up to 20 years in prison and $25,000 in fines. Sandusky also was charged with a count of indecent assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of children. Those are third-degree felonies punishable by up to seven years in prison and $15,000 in fines. Sandusky had been charged with 40 counts of child sex abuse involving eight young boys over a 15-year span. He's currently jailed as he's not able to post the $250,000 bail. This story is just horrific. For the alleged victims, their families and for the stain of tragedy that will take years to erase. We should all pray for the alleged victims, and even Sandusky--YES, even he needs prayer. It's a dark hour for all of them.
