Even though Rafael Nadal was pushed out in the first round, Serena Williams coasted easily defeating Mandy Minella 6-1, 6-3 to move into the second round of Wimbledon. This is good for Serena after the last week of controversy surrounding statements against Maria Sharapova and a rape case in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine which caused backlash and a few apologies from Serena. Now the spotlight is back on tennis and she's focused winning again in the place she won Olympic Gold last year.
