Only a day after his failed attempt at an NFL scout workout preview, the Chicago Rush, the city’s arena league, announced that they have extended a contract offer to the six-time Pro Bowl receiver for the 2012 season. So all the Chicago Bears fans can now breathe a sigh of relief.
“We feel that this is an ideal time to approach the future NFL Hall of Famer,” Rush general manager and team president Gene Nudo said. “It would be a fantastic honor to add Terrell to our current roster for the 2012 season.”
Even with all the on- and off- the field attention that Owens receives, Nudo said that they would welcome him.
One person that doesn’t seem happy about the offer is Owens agent Drew Rosenhaus. According to an ESPN report, when told about the offer, Rosenhaus replied, “That’s absurd. Terrell will only be playing in the NFL.”
Chicago is the home of the famous Garrett Popcorn, a tradition since 1949 and frankly some of the best popcorn I’ve had. Maybe this could be the perfect stop on the popcorn train.
