T.O. Works Out With Tom Brady…Is This Signs of a Comeback?
Terrell Owens, the 39-year-old wide receiver, has had his share of ups and downs, but being in the NFL is something that the drama-filled athlete was always said was at the top of his list.
On Wednesday, Owens was spotted working out with New England Patriots QB, Tom Brady. While this may be a surprise to many, it’s not to the people who know Tom and his off season workout regiment. According to sources Brady is known for working out with all types of players, active and non-active, during the off season near his home in Southern California.
In grand T.O. fashion he took to Twitter to tweet about the workout mentioning that players from the Minnesota Vikings were there and former Patriots quarterback Matt Cassel.
Is this signs of a comeback for T.O.?
Probably not. T.O. has not played in the NFL since 2010, and was last cut from an arena team that he was part owner of. If that doesn't speak volumes I don't know what will.
Will we ever see T.O. in the NFL again?
Again probably not. The NFL is a league of ‘what have you done for me lately’ type mentality. When coaches are getting let go after one season and players are being waived and released from Super Bowl winning teams, this game yells we want winners.
Does T.O. fit into that scheme?
Unfortunately no. I don’t know him personally but have I seen enough of his press conferences, reality shows and interviews to say that he wants to be an NFL player, but the status and the fame is just as important if not more.
What's crazy is that Owens is second in the NFL all time in receiving yards and third in receiving touchdowns, but can't find a team because of off-the-field issues.
So all the Patriots fans can breathe a sigh of relief, T.O. will probably not be suiting up a couple of lockers down from Tom Brady this season.
