Is Kim Kardashian Trying to Pull Mark Sanchez Into Her Lastest Mess With Dating Rumors?

Friday, February 3rd, 2012

If you’re like me, you’re ready for Kim Kardashian to sit down somewhere.

Last week we reported that Kim K. wanted to date Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow, but ironically Tebow didn’t want her.

Now it seems Kim has moved on to another team and player. The word on the street is that she is secretly seeing New York Jets QB, Mark Sanchez. Sources that know about the relationship say that the two have been seeing each other even before Kim married New Jersey Nets b-ball player, Kris Humphries.

A source close to Kim says “Kim’s just in it for the sex. She has her hopes set on a bigger “star” than Sanchez. But for now, he will do.”

Really!?!?!

So in her defense (if that’s what you want to call it) Kim went to Twitter to “clear up” the rumors.

Kim tweeted “dating rumors are always fun when u don’t even know the people your supposedly linked to! Who makes this stuff up!”

I mean really, who believes what Kim has to say.

Honestly, Kim should be embarrassed. This mess has got to stop! She’s just a fair-weather fan…when one player doesn’t score, she moves on.

Kim Kardashian Wants To Say ‘Bye Reggie’ and ‘Hello Tim Tebow’

Monday, January 30th, 2012

First a divorce after only 72 days of marriage, then the rating of your E! Entertainment reality show, Kourtney & Kim Take New York slip, now she can’t get a date, what’s next?!?!?

That’s right reality star, Kim Kardashian has sight her sights on Denver Broncos new it-QB, Tim Tebow. Sorry Reggie, but does Kim realize that Tebow is a Christian and a virgin?

Here’s an excerpt from the Enquire on Kim K. trying to find new love in all the wrong places…

Kim Kardashian hopes to hitch her falling star to America’s hottest athlete, Denver Broncos quarterback Tim Tebow — but he doesn’t want anything to do with her!

Sources say that Kim has been telling pals she wants to land a date with the devout Christian football sensation, who made national headlines for miraculously leading his mediocre team to the NFL playoffs.

“Kim has a big crush on Tim,” a friend confided. “She says he’s not only very handsome but seems like a guy with really strong values.”

But it’s more than just infatuation for Kim, 31. Even though she has her ownmoney, pals claim she’s also seeing dollar signs in the 24-year-old hunk! The once red-hot reality star’s popularity has tanked recently, particularly after her sudden separation from pro basketball player Kris Humphries after just 72 days of marriage.

Since then, ratings for her flagship reality show, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” are down 14 percent. The buxom brunette has also lost endorsement deals, and her paid public appearances, which have netted up to $600,000 apiece, are dropping off at a rapid pace.

“Kim needs to rehab her image to get her career revved up again,” explained another source. “Dating someone like Tim Tebow would certainly do the trick.”

But even her family is telling her not to hold her breath.

“Tim’s been made aware of Kim’s crush, and although flattered, he’s not interested,” said a source.

“He’s an avowed virgin who’s saving himself for marriage and is looking for a woman with similar values, not someone with two failed marriages AND a sex tape in her past!”

[From Enquirer, print edition, February 6. 2012]

Part of me wants to believe that Kim is trying to do better. Now I know she has gotten a bad rep for her behavior during the last couple of month, but maybe she sees Tebow as a way to help guide her on a better path. Who knows Tebow could be just what Kim needs.

Now on the flip side of that, Kim could be looking at Tebow as her next pay check, but I’m know Tebow’s handlers aren’t letting Kim K. get her fangs into Prince Charming and take him over to the dark side.

Ravens, Ray Lewis Will Return For a 17th Season

Monday, January 23rd, 2012

We may not know much about how the Baltimore Ravens will look next season, but the one thing that we do know is that Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis will be in the lineup.

After Sunday’s lost in the AFC Championship game to the New England Patriots, Lewis spoke humbly about what it took to get to that game and dispelled any rumors that he will be retiring.

For anyone who missed Sunday’s game, you’ll get another chance to see Lewis in action on Sunday for the NFL Pro Bowl as he makes his 13th appearance.

Terrell Owens Plays the Blame Game in latest GQ Article

Thursday, January 19th, 2012

If you’ve been a fan of Terrell Owens, you’ve seen him in San Francisco, Philly, Dallas, Buffalo and finally Cincinnati. You would also know that he is second all time in receiving yards, and that his body is chiseled from head to toe. So what does he possibly have to cry about in the upcoming issue of GQ (on newsstands next month)? Well…he’s just not playing football anymore.

Owens who is now 38 years old, is playing in a game where he may not come out on top. It was funny to read that when people text Owens to ask him where he is these days, his response to them is, “I’m in hell.”  In the GQ article by Nancy Hass, Owens blames the media, blames agent Drew Rosenhaus for not protecting him, and he STILL blames a former teammate for his issues with former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb.

It’s surprising that after all these years and many teams later Owens is still caught up with the old storyline of the McNabb feud. I clearly don’t understand why Owens is still trying to prove his point. In the article he talks about how another player told him NOT to apologize to McNabb, but when GQ asked the then team captain Jeremiah Trotter of this, Trotter disagreed with Owens account and tells the magazine he was the one insisting Owens apologize. Nonetheless it’s time to move on.

In the article Owens is still arrogant in his ability to return to the NFL. Even after what could have been a career ending ACL surgery Owens still toots his own horn by believing he can make the same plays he was making after just coming into the league years ago. His workout regime is still as intense as ever, but the doors to football aren’t exactly closed. Owens received an offer to play for a Chicago arena league back in October and at the time passed it up.

Owens will be a player and part owner of the Indoor Football League’s Allen Wranglers, in Dallas. I wonder is this a ploy to get Jerry Jones to take another look at him and possibly bring him back to the Cowboys? Hmmmmm.

We may be on the fence about whether he can still play, but we do know the days of dropping $137,000 for two diamond stud earrings are over. The claim of being broke after making $80 million during his NFL career is a story that Owens is sticking tightly to.

Lately his money troubles have landed him in court because he claims he just can’t afford to pay his child support payments. Owens pays a total of $44,600 a month in child support for his four children, ages 5 to 12.

In response to his child support woes, he says “If there’s anything I’m sorry about, it’s getting involved with all that.” I honestly don’t know if he’s talking about the women that he calls “repeat offenders” in the article or if he’s referring to his kids.  I had to laugh out loud as I kept reading when Owens says that he is angry with the women because he believes they are not being fair.

“They know I’m not working; they know the deal,” he expresses to GQ. However, in the article it shares that Owens is living in a stunning 1,800-square foot Los Angeles apartment he paid $499,000 for in October 2010.

Throughout the article Owens does address the rumored suicide attempts and the depression, but I’m not going to give away the entire thing because I believe that Nancy Hass does a fabulous job trying to help us feel the pain that Owens is ultimately feeling.

The one surprising thing (well maybe not that surprising) is that Owens doesn’t see his role in the downward spiral of his life. He places a lot of blame on agents, friends, family, publicists, advisers, baby mamas, the media, teammates and even the NFL, but not once does Terrell Owens take responsibly as a grown man for the way that his life has turned out.

When looking at Owens’ stats you see a great wide receiver who could possibly help some team, but that’s not what keeps him off the field; It’s his antics, the theatrical element that he brings to his life and the lives of others around him. When looking at the issues with McNabb and the Eagles, or the child support, or even situations with his other teams the common denominator is Terrell Owens.

Every morning you wake up you have the opportunity to start anew, and Terrell Owens has had over 13,870 mornings to start anew, and it just hasn’t happened.

Former NFL Quarterback, Rodney Peete, Helps to Honor Martin Luther King, Jr.

Monday, January 16th, 2012

Former NFL QB, Rodney Peete, with Angela Davis and Marcelle English of Jersey Girl Sports

Years after coming off the field, former NFL Quarter back and and co-founder of the HollyRod Foundation, Rodney Peete is still setting the example. Today on the National Day of Service to commemorate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rodney Peete is in Atlanta partnering with Allstate to participate in a special painting and beautification project at Humphries Elementary School as a part of Allstate’s National “Give Back Day” program.
Here’s what Rodney Peete had to say about this great program, service and his take on this past week’s NFL playoff games:
Alexandria Phillips, Allstate’s 2012 Atlanta Give Back Day hero, also participated in the community service initiative. Phillips is a senior at Spelman College, and is one of four Give Back Day Heroes honored across the nation for embodying the principles of Dr. King through year-round commitment to volunteerism, making a positive impact in communities, and for encouraging others to follow her lead.
Meet Alexandria:
Rodney Peete said in his opening remarks to the volunteers, “service is the rent we pay for living” and this day is all about making that payment. Let’s not take the life that we have for granted, Dr. King knew what we needed to do to make it to the mountaintop, let make sure that we keep climbing together.
