Will Brett Favre Un-retire….Again?

Here we go again!

As soon as news broke yesterday that the NFL lockout was coming to an end Brett Favre’s name some how made headlines.

Howard Eskin of WIP Radio in Philadelphia said the Eagles are interested in bringing in Favre to backup Michael Vick once the season starts. It is expected that the Eagles will trade current backup quarterback Kevin Kolb.

Vick has even given his approval on bringing in the 41-year-old as his backup. Vick tweeted “I would be honored to have Brett Favre as a backup. That will be amazing learning how to toy with defenses the way he did his whole career.”

To be honest, I wasn’t that surprised that news on a possibly Favre comeback made headlines. It is late July and that’s when his name usually comes out of nowhere.

I was more aggravated by this news. Favre has repeatedly said that he isn’t coming back to the NFL, yet the Eagles are trying to resurrect his career.

I just want Farve’s name to stay out of the news. I don’t want to hear his name again unless he is being inducted into the Hall of Fame in Canton.

So Favre, please don’t try to embarrass yourself like last season. Stay home and play with your grand kids.
