Matt Barnes Splits from BBWLA Gloria Govan – Shocker…NOT!!!

Monday, October 24th, 2011

That’s right LA Lakers, Matt Barnes has finally admitted that he’s calling it quits with his on-again-off-again fiancé and BBWLA cast member Gloria Govan.

Matt addressed the split in an email by saying, “I’d like to address the rumors surrounding mine and Gloria’s relationship,” Barnes’ statement read. “We have reached the difficult decision of ending our relationship and will be going our separate ways at this time. We will work together to raise our sons and wish each other only the best.”

According to the LA Times, Matt had a Twitter exchange with a fan who said Barnes should marry Govan or else someone else will. Barnes responded with: “He can have her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Wow…talk about pouring salt in the wound.

The couple has two-year-old twin boys, Carter Kelly and Isiah Michael.

Royce Reed FINALLY Leaves ‘Basketball Wives’

Thursday, October 13th, 2011

Royce announced on Twitter that she’s leaving because of “artistic differences”. She goes on to respond in another tweet by saying, “”Things may change but as of now, NO!”

Really Royce, I was wondering how long you were going to put up with that foolishness. I always wonder about these women who are on these reality shows like Basketball Wives and the Real Housewives series and wonder how long you are going to let yourself be disrespected and degraded on national television.

These women are always so quick to cuss, fuss and fight about things that are so irreverent to life, but I never hear these same women talk about parenting and raising happy and healthy sons and daughters that can grow-up to be someone’s husband or wife.

I’m not going to get on my soap box tonight because everyone should know how I feel about Shaunie O’Neal and her cast of characters but I honestly hope Royce is leaving because she wants to ‘do better’.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, Chad Ochocinco’s fiance, Evelyn Lozada, is iffy about being back, and Meeka Claxton, wife to Speedy Claxton, wasn’t asked back. I can’t wait to see who from the Basketball Wives L.A. is going to be booted–could even be the whole show.

Top 20 Things Every Woman Should Know Going Into This NFL Season

Monday, August 23rd, 2010

Every year, there is a group of women, young and old, of all ethnicities and economic backgrounds that are sitting at home waiting… anxiously…not for the Barney’s Annual Sale or for her husband to finally take out the trash without being asked to, but for those six favorite words…

Are You Ready For Some Football?

That’s right, as hard as it is for some to believe (these “some” are mostly men…wanted to make sure I pointed that out) women are in love with the game of football.  With over 45 million women watching NFL games each week, the NFL is the favorite among women. Now with anything there are those that are addicted when it comes to the sport of football. Let’s take me for example, I believe I am a man’s dream, I wake-up to the NFL Network, I go to bed to it, but most importantly I also know what I’m talking about, and I talk major shit about my favorite team or player. Then there are those of you who watch the games in passing. You know a couple of terms, you’re up on the basic knowledge, and you do know how to sit down and enjoy a good game. Then there are those of you have no idea what the hell is going on. You think that the’ man in motion’ is a term coined from the hit show Cops, referring to a criminal on the run, but you do take a small interest in the game for some reason or another.  (more…)
