Tear in LeBron James’ jersey has Nike very concerned

by Angela Davis |@jerseygirlsport |@ladyadavis Jersey Girl Sports fam the NBA season is in full effect, and on the opening game of season, the Cleveland Cavaliers vs. the Boston Celtics, LeBron James' Nike jersey tore, and it's causing a rift at Nike. The company is very concerned about the tear because for them it speaks to the quality of their product.
The quality and performance of all our products are of utmost importance," the company said. "We are obviously very concerned to see any game day jersey tear and are working with the NBA and teams to avoid this happening in the future."
Why is this such an issue? Well, Nike is just in the first of an eight-year, $1 billion deal as the NBA's official apparel provider. This is not a good look. In the preseason opener, a Lakers player's jersey also ripped. So, yeah this is not a good look. Nike touted that their jerseys would absorb sweat 30 percent faster than the previous jerseys made by Adidas. Sadly, they're not absorbing the wear and physicality of the game.
