Forget about who Tiger Woods is dating … he’s back in business.
Showing flashes of the old Tiger and leading by as many as eight strokes on the back nine, Woods closed out a victory at The Farmers Insurance Open with a 72 par, four- shot victory. This was the eighth win at Torrey Pines and 75th career win for Woods.
In previous year when Woods has won the Farmers Insurance Open, he has gone on to win no less than four major championships. Good news for Tiger….not so much for his competitors.
Let’s face it, when Tiger brings his “A” game he is a formidable force on the golf course and almost impossible to beat. The past few years injuries, adjustments to his swing and short game, lack of focus and personal drama took its toll and knocked much of the edge off of Tiger’s game. He was no longer feared and tournaments became wide open.
If this Open is anything to go by, it looks to be a major year for Woods. I for one am looking forward to hearing about his prowess on the golf course…and the only thing I want him to be interchanging are golf clubs.
What do you say Jersey Girl Sports Fam, can Tiger focus on his game? Is he back?
