Tiger Woods tops Forbes list of highest paid athletes

The list of highest paid athletes is out again, and once again Tiger Woods roars to the top!

OK…that’s was corny. 🙂

However, it’s true! Tiger Woods tops out the list of highest paid athletes taking back the number one spot from Floyd Mayweather, Jr. who was number one in 2012. According to Forbes, “Woods pulled in $78.1 million over the last year from prize money, endorsements, appearance fees and golf course design work.”

Here’s how the rest of the top 10 list looks:

Tennis phenom Roger Federer: $78 million

Kobe Bryant: $61.9 million

LeBron James $59.8 million

Drew Brees $51 million

Aaron Rogers $49 million

Phil Mickelson $48.7 million

David Beckham $47.2 million

Tennis player Cristiano Ronaldo $44 million

Soccer player Lionel Messi $41.3 million

Some other things to note:

  • Maria Sharapova (No. 22) is the highest-ranked woman making over $23 million in endorsements
  • Serena Williams (No. 68) and Li Na (No. 85) are the other women on the list

That’s no chump change to throw, hit, or kick a ball.

Wow!…I’m in the wrong business!

Who do you think is the most overpaid player?

Your Jersey Girlfriend,

~Angela Davis
