Every year, there is a group of women, young and old, of all ethnicities and economic backgrounds that are sitting at home waiting⊠anxiouslyâŠnot for the Barneyâs Annual Sale or for her husband to finally take out the trash without being asked to, but for those six favorite wordsâŠ
Are You Ready For Some Football?
Thatâs right, as hard as it is for some to believe (these âsomeâ are mostly menâŠwanted to make sure I pointed that out) women are in love with the game of football. With over 45 million women watching NFL games each week, the NFL is the favorite among women. Now with anything there are those that are addicted when it comes to the sport of football. Letâs take me for example, I believe I am a manâs dream, I wake-up to the NFL Network, I go to bed to it, but most importantly I also know what Iâm talking about, and I talk major shit about my favorite team or player. Then there are those of you who watch the games in passing. You know a couple of terms, youâre up on the basic knowledge, and you do know how to sit down and enjoy a good game. Then there are those of you have no idea what the hell is going on. You think that theâ man in motionâ is a term coined from the hit show Cops, referring to a criminal on the run, but you do take a small interest in the game for some reason or another.Â
Well to help out all of my sisters, young and old, near and far, I have compiled the top 20 things that every woman should know going into this NFL season. Now ladiesâŠafter you read this you might want to pass this on to the man in your life, because contrary to what they believeâŠthey donât know everything!Â
1. The best website for all things football for women is www.jerseygirlsports.com . I know that it may seem that Iâm a little bias but Jersey Girl Sports is tops when it comes informing, educating and entertaining women on football. Jersey Girl is a feminine yet sporty experience that is available 24/7, 365 days a year. This sexy, sassy, informative site gives women sports news, scores, updates, Hotties, apparel, recipes, and so much more. All the things that no Jersey Girl should be without. Jersey Girl is for the woman whoâs rushing home from work on a Monday evening to trade in her Jimmy Chooâs for a NY Giants jersey and a pair of jeans. Jersey Girl is in every woman, young or old. Are you a Jersey Girl?
2. The Saints Go Marching In.  I donât believe there are enough words that can be used to still express the joy of the New Orleans Saints being last seasonâs Super Bowl Champion. With majority of the team returning, and the taste of victory still fresh, many say that Saints have a good chance to return to the big dance on February 6th in Dallas. Weâll seeâŠIâm not going to say that itâs not going to happen, but what I will say is enjoy this moment. You have brought joy and happiness to a city that wanted and deserved true champions. Make sure you watch the Saints in the NFC Championship rematch with Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday, September 9th at 8:30pm EST on NBC. Â
3. Fantasy Football Can Be Your Friend. Did you know that over the last 5 years, women playing Fantasy Football has increased by 300%? Ladies this is great way to learn the game and have a little friendly competition among your girlfriends. Now, donât be afraid to join a menâs league or create a co-ed league of your own. Honestly I believe this is a fabulous way to stay engaged in the game week after week, and it will surely increase your knowledge. Log on to either NFL.com (my personal favorite), ESPN, or Yahoo to sign-up to play. Â
4. No Relationship Talk on Sundays or Monday NightâŠEVER! Now I love to discuss and explore my relationship with my man as much as the next women, but letâs be real on football Sundays or during Monday Night Football, there is nothing that is so deeply and profound that you canât wait to profess 48 hours later.  UNDERSTOOD!
5. Brett Farve is coming back for a 20 Season. After much consideration, deliration, he is and then a heâs not, Brett Farve has decided to return to the NFL for a 20th season. Seriously, whatâs there really to do in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, plus he was able to pick up an additional $3 million just for making the decision. So tell me when Brett announced his return to the game why didnât ESPN jump on board for a primetime specialâŠIâm sure there would have been some non-profit who would love to have a check for an additional $2.7 million.
6. The Hotties! I have to admit some of the finest men on the planet play in the NFL. Where else can you find hundreds of hot, sweaty, sexy, fit men in one place? Nowhere. Now if you donât believe me let me give you a couple of examplesâŠTerrell Owens, Tony Gonzalez (who I will talk about later), Jason Taylor, Mark Sanchez and my personal favorite, Osi UmenyioraâŠthatâs one hot, hot, hot, hottie. All I have to say is everyday and twice on Sunday!
7. You Need a JGF. A Jersey Girlfriend (JGF) is that one friend or a group of girlfriends that are ensured to make the season fun and exciting. You can talk with your JGF about anything from who scored the winning touchdown, to the BS call that ref makes, to dishing about your latest guy during halftime. She is truly your go-to girl when it comes to all things sports.Â
8. The Ultimate Leader.  No Iâm not talking President Obama, but I am talking about the highest ranking man in the National Football League, Rodger Goodell. I know that itâs hard to remember all of the coaches, but this is the one name that should be top of mind. This no-nonsense, ass-kickinâ, suspension-happy, fine-giving Commissioner started off as an intern and is now more feared in the NFL than the 360 lb. defensive back. I just have one question for Commissioner Goodell, where does all that fine money go? Just wondering.
9. Desperate Housewives. Slated to premiere this fall on VH1, ‘Football Wives’ will follow the wives of several NFL athletes as they deal with the pressures of life beyond the field. “Picking up the pieces, raising their families and reaping the benefits of the tough lives their men face every time they step into the game. These are the FOOTBALL WIVES… where “Dallas” meets “Dynasty “meets the Gridiron,” reports VH1. Football Wives premieres Monday, October 11 at 9:30pm on VH1. I wonder if they will get some actual wives this time?
10. Fox Pre-Game Show. By far the best way to get your game day started on a Sunday morning. The hilarious rants and in-depth information from Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan and Jimmy Johnson is enough to get any day started off right. The skits of Frank Caliendo are the best, and if you havenât seen the Shaq and Charles Barkley skit from last year, please YouTube itâŠitâs so funny. The Fox Pre-Game kicks-off every Sunday morning at 12pm EST on Fox.
11. You donât have to wear your boyfriendâs tired Jersey. Just like any other time you leave the house, what you have on is very important, so let me give you my two favorite options when it comes to sexy attire for your game day out or in the comfort of your home. The first is the Touch line by Alyssa Milano. This fun and flirty line by Milano has shirts, jackets, hats, even jeans that help you to keep it sexy as well as rep your favorite team. My second favorite is the Victoriaâs Secret Pink NFL line, now tell me what man wouldnât want their lady coming to bed or lounging around the house sporting their favorite NFL team. Unfortunately the list of teams is limited right now, but they are expanding.
12. Greatest book on Football 101 for women. Ok if you are looking for a book for yourself or a fabulous gift idea for your JGF then Holly Robinson Peeteâs book, Get Your Own Damn Beer, Iâm Watching the Game! Should be at the top of your list. This feminine, funny, quirky book educates you about EVERYTHING football. In addition to the basic sports lingo, positions, plays, etc., the book gives you NFL history and several clever lists of anything from football movies to the best looking butts in the NFL. Seriously, Peete puts things in perspective and gives an honest look at footballâŠthe way that women want it.
13. Hard Knocks is the real deal. At the beginning of each NFL season, HBO and the NFL team-up to give you a candid look inside of an NFL team. Past teams have included the Cowboys, Ravens, Bengals, but this year Hard Knocks looks at the New York Jets. Where else can you see Rex Ryan say the f-word every 20 seconds, or see the cute and accurate Mark Sanchaz, or hear blunt conversations between players about other players and coaches?   Hard Knocks shows you what football is really about. So if you have HBO check it out on Wednesdays at 10pm or logo on to HBO.com/hardknocks for full episodes, plus an interactive page that lets you be the coach, or ask you own questions to Jets players. Â
14. T.O. Does Have a JobâŠStop Your Lies. It is true, T.O. is back working in the NFL. After some last minute consideration from the Cincinnati Bengals, the team signed the obnoxious Receiver to a two-year contract worth $2 million. Even with all of his flaws, T.O. is still regarded as one of the top receivers in the game. Now that heâs paired-up with his BFF Chad OchoCinco, Iâm interested to see what will happen if OchoUno doesnât get the ball much and will he revert back to the 5-year-old temper tantrum that heâs so used to having when he doesnât get his way (itâs that how most men are displaying anger these daysâŠoh well).  I was really hoping that I was going to be able to hire him as my interior decoratorâŠNOT!
15. Wagers & Bets during the season can be a lot of fun. Ladies, weâre always trying to think of ways to keep the spice in our relationships, so why not add a little sports to that spice. The next time a great game comes on, or itâs your favorite team versus his favorite team why not add a fun little wager to that. For example, if you lose you serve him breakfast in bed for a week, or if he loses he has to accompany you to the opening night of a ballet you have been dying to see. Now ladies if you do lose, and some of you will, donât be a sore loser, itâs all in fun and if you really know what youâre doing you can use your lost to your advantage, if you know what I mean. Remember make it fun, make it sexy, but the sky is truly the limit!
16. Tony Gonzalez has the Tightest End in the Game. I know that I have already talked about the hotties, but I wanted to bring to your attention the tightest end in the NFL, Tight End Tony Gonzalez of the Atlanta Falcons. For the past 14 seasons, whether it was with the Chiefs or the Falcons ladies have not only watched the play making styles of Gonzalez, but have watched his tight âendâ. There is nothing better than enjoying a good game with tight assets.
17. Encroachment. Ok this is the one word that you could use throughout the season that will help you look like a Rock Star. The official definition is when a player enters the neutral zone and makes contact with the player of the opposing team before the play begins. So a great way to use the word in a sentence during the game is after the ref calls a âfalse startâ penalty is to say, âif he had taken one or two more steps that could have easily been an encroachment penaltyâ. SeeâŠitâs that easy, and just watch his face.  Â
18. Cosmo, Mojitos, and WingsâŠOh MY! Now I know that your significant other may enjoy wings and beer when he and his buddies get together to watch the game, but ladies we donât roll like that. When you and your JGFs (Jersey Girlfriends) get together to watch the game do something different, create a special menu of all the things that you like whether itâs shrimp tacos, or grilled salmon, or chicken skewers. Itâs all about how you will enjoy the game. And you canât have a great meal with good drinks, what about a cosmos, mojitos, or daiquiris .  What a perfect way to spend a game day afternoon! Â
19. Thereâs room for all of us in DallasâŠTRUST ME Jerry built it! The 2011 Super Bowl will be in Dallas, TX on Sunday, February 6th at the new house that Jerry built. Seating 80,000 this state-of-the-art stadium is bigger and better than what anyone, including Jerry Jones, thought it was going to be. The $1.3 million dollar home of the Dallas Cowboys is the 3rd largest stadium in the NFL, and the highlight of Cowboys Stadium is its gigantic center-hung high-definition television screen, the largest in the world, sometimes referred to as “Jerry-Tron”. Now if you canât get tickets to be in the stadium then there will be plenty of parties and sports bars around that will give you all the action. Just remember Super Bowl XLV in Dallas, February 6, 2011.
20. Are you ready for some Football?!?! So I have given you 19 really fun things to help you get ready for the upcoming football season, my last tip is just have FUN! Even if you donât know a lot about the game itâs a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends, have great food and get a little tipsy. The more you watch and listen the more youâll learn. During the remaining two weeks before the season starts I will be back to give you the top 10 offensive and defensive terms that you are going to need to know before the Thursday, September 9th kick-off of the season. Have fun and Iâll see you in Dallas!

**YOUTUBE VIDEO REVIEWS ON THE HOTTEST ELECTRONICS OUT**…
#1 SITE FOR THE LATEST REVIEWS ON THE HOTTEST TECHNOLOGY HITTING THE MAINSTREAM!…
Before I meet your pilot website, I incredible didnât know something about this subject that I will use in my school task. After I read page by page, I found the significant thing for my initial idea, great article in your webpage, I discover many missing file and data in my book guidance, but you gave me the several options. I am postgraduate college and want to finish my subject; it is hard task (for me). I spent over 2 weeks, just browsing and finding this nice article.
Definitely worth to save this post. Plenty of important data we can get in this website. Excellent!
This is my first time i visit here. I discovered so numerous fascinating stuff in your weblog.
Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
