by Angela Davis |@ladyadavis |@jerseygirlsport It's about that time to get ready for the NFL season! Fans are already trash talking, posting memes and talking about upcoming games for the season. If you feel you're lagging behind, don't worry! There's still time. Here are the top 5 things you need to do to get ready for the NFL season. 1. Get your gear. Yep, it's time to re-up on your sports apparel. Most teams have new t-shirts, jerseys and other items to help keep you in the latest and greatest as you rep your team. 2. Get your life. Yes, your life. Your relationship, especially, needs to be in order. Nothing ruins a Sunday and Monday night faster than relationship issues. So, have those 'talks' now. Set up realistic expectations and let your significant other know and help them understand what the upcoming 16 weeks will become. 3. Get your memes. It's the best part of social media during the season! Each week the memes are a huge source of laughter and fun. So, get your memes ready, especially for your divisional rival! 4. Get your talk. Trash-talking that is! Get ready! Atlanta Falcons fans have ALREADY been hit with the memes from the Super Bowl--mostly from their arch rival, Saints fans. So, get ready. Every team and every NFL fan has something to say about teams they don't like, so get ready. Trash talking is not for the faint of heart. 5. Get your stance. Many NFL fans have said they are going to protest the NFL and boycott watching games and supporting the local sponsors of teams if Colin Kaepernick is not signed. If that is the case for you, then you better get ready. Get your information, post on social media and prepare yourself for the onslaught of not only those who will be watching the games, but your own temptation to give in. Make a stand and be ready. No matter what your favorite team is or if you're a by-product of a sports fanatic in your home, it's time to get your house in order if football is going to be a part of it. These five bits of advice will help you be happy and prepared. Now, let's get ready for some football!
