Venus and Serena withdraw from doubles at French Open

If you were looking for tennis phenoms and sisters Venus and Serena Williams to contend their doubles title you're going to be sad. The two withdrew from the doubles match today. While no official reason was given, speculation surrounds Venus who's been suffering with a back injury from March. This means that  Anastasia Rodionova and Alla Kudryavtseva automatically advance into the second round. Venus lost in the first round of the French Open to  Urszula Radwanska 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-4 while Serena has advanced to the third round. She will face Sorana Cirstea I hope that Venus gets better. Ever since her health issues, she has not performed to the level of her sister, and probably only real competitor, Serena. The good news is that Serena continues to dominate on the court. I hope this French Open finds her with another win. Your Jersey Girlfriend, ~Angela Davis
