After losing Wimbledon to Rodger Federer, Andy Murray accepted defeat with dignity and grace. His emotional speech left not a dry eye in the All England Club, by starting his speech by saying, “I’m getting closer”.
There’s much to be said for Britain’s first hope for a Wimbledon men’s title since Fred Perry in 1936. I watched the entire match and the pressures of wanting to win especially at Wimbledon started to mount for Murray sprinkled with mistakes that allowed Federer to come back.
Even faced with defeat Murray today is Britain’s MVP!
