Jersey Girl Sports fam, this is the “feel good” story of the week! When Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano announced he’s going back for a second round of chemo treatments to fight leukemia, the Colts players made a bold move to show their support. They shaved their heads!

According to Mike Chappell of the Indianapolis Star, Colts players shaved their heads in anticipation of Thursday night’s game, and now the world can see their support.

“It’s all for Chuck,” punter Pat McAfee said on Tuesday. “We all don’t look good. I’m not built to have a bald head. I’ve got a huge sniffer.

“But we all love our coach so much that we want to show unity and let people know we’re all in this together. It’s a really cool thing.”

Yahoo! reports, according to Chappell, Colts director of player engagement David Thornton organized the demonstration of support for Pagano. Pagano is on indefinite leave while he undergoes treatment, but before he left, he gave an emotional yet inspiring speech:

The Colts may not be the “hot” team this year. They may  not be undefeated or have the most talked about players, but one thing is for sure–these players understand what a “team” really is and this show of support  around Pagano gives me a little more respect for this organization.
