Jersey Girl Sports fam we are in trying times and people in Texas need our help. Comedian and actor Kevin Hart
started a challenge to push celebrities to donate and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson
is among those who have accepted that challenge.
from the Hollywood Reporter.com
I think people are in bad shape, they need help," said Hart. He called on celebrities like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Beyonce, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, Justin Timberlake, Dave Chappelle, Steve Harvey and Jay Z to follow in his footsteps and donate $25,000. Hart laterupped his commitment to $50,000and called on more celebs to donate. Hart also launched aCrowdrise campaignto raise money from people looking to donate funds.
His celebrity friends have stepped up to the challenge, including 'The Rock'
who posted a video announcing his pledge of $25,000:
Stay strong Houston and hold onto faith," Johnson captioned the video. "Me and my family know what you're going thru. We survived the eye of Andrew and became stronger - so will you. All my love and strength. "
It seems we've taken a pause from the day-to-day hate and political divide to focus on helping people in Texas who are suffering as a result of the damage and flooding caused by hurricane Harvey.
We're supporting all in Houston and the surrounding areas in Texas devastated by Harvey
, and we hope you'll find your place to donate or help out in any way you can.
We are all praying for Texas.
