During basketball games we always cheer for fans trying their hand at half court shots to win money and Friday night’s Heat/Pistons game was no different.

Just like any regular night half-time action Michael Drysch, a fan, went to half court to try his hand and possibly win $75,000. Not only did Drysch make the shot and win the money, he was afterwards tackled by LeBron James who was just as excited as Drysch for winning the money.

The $75,000 shot was sponsored by LeBronJames.com and Carmex, according to Fox Sports Florida.

“It’s a great way to meet somebody like that,” Drysch said, as he was presented the oversized check. “I had no idea he was coming over to me like that. That was amazing. What a great feeling to experience something like this.”

“They told me to put some spin on the ball, and get it up there as high as I could,” Drysch said. “I had made that shot something like 1 percent of the time in my life.”

James tweeted after the game about the shot…

“How bout my man Michael with the sky hook from half court for 75k large!!! #wow #awesomeness”

BTW…the Heat beat the Pistons 110-88, but Michael Drysch was the real winner of Friday night’s game!
