One of the best monthly, long-form sports news shows in my opinion is Real Sports with Bryant Gumble on HBO. Each month Gumble and his colleagues for all walks of life, various networks and numerous sports get together and interview some of the best and worst in the world of sports from stealing agents, to sky diving families, to players and coaches who have amazing stories outside the locker room.

Tonight on the show’s new episode airing at 10pm ET, Gumble sits down with former New York Giant and the new co-host of Live! with Kelly and Michael, Michael Strahan to talk about his transition from sports, his new job (and yes he does have a lot of them), the gay rumors and his very public divorce from his first wife, Jeam Muggli.

During the interview Strahan speaks about his bitter divorce saying, “I think early on when you’re reading all these things in the paper that aren’t true — I’m not an adulterer. I’m not gay. I mean, I didn’t beat anybody.”

Many don’t know that once the accusations were made, Strahand was the one who filed for divorce, saying he confronted her after she withdrew $3.3 million from their bank accounts. To this day he denies every laying a hand on Muggli, even though the claim was dismissed by a judge. In 2007, Muggli was awarded with a $15 million divorce settlement and $18,000 child support each month.

I am looking forward to this interview. Michael Strahan is America’s new seetheart and with his bright smile with gapped teeth makes big, burly football players look like soft cuddly teddy bears.

Don’t forget to set your DVR for Real Sports with Bryant Gumble tonight at 10pm ET on HBO.
