According to ESPN, Ray Allen left his meeting with the Miami Heat last night still undecided about whether to stay with the Celtics or go with the courting Heat.

Ray Allen had meetings and dinner with President Pat Riley, head coach Erick Spoelstra and other members of the Heat front office staff. Their offer is about $3 million/year, $9 million total over three years, half of what the Boston Celtics are offering. But is money really the concern? Considering the latest  NBA acquisitions, I would say no. Rumors of strife between Ray Allen and Rajon Rondo and disagreements with coaching decisions may have pushed Allen south.

However, he still has his buddies Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett, and now newly acquired (and former Dallas Mavericks point guard) Jason Terry to play with.

So what will Ray do? At this point he may be seeking a change. He has rings. He has money. Perhaps all he’s looking for now is a team he can be comfortable with.

What do you think?
