Want Some Slim Down Help From The Stars? Get on Twitter!
In the social media age we use Twitter for almost everything but have you tried to use Twitter to slim down? The thought probably hasn’t crossed your mind, but there are a number of your favorite cooks, trainers, doctors all on Twitter giving valuable advice day in and out to help you slim down, eat healthy and lead a healthier lifestyle.
Check out some of my favorites…
Dolvett Quince (@Dolvett) – This hot, chiseled man was introduced to many of you as the new trainer on the last season of NBC’s The Biggest Loser where his team walked away with the victory. If you are an Atlanta resident (which is how I met Dolvett) he has been training Atlanta residents for years giving them fabulous results. So if you are ever in Atlanta be sure to check out his gym Body Sculptor

Jeanette Jenkins (@JeanetteJenkins) – Jeanette Jenkins aka ‘The Hollywood Trainer’ author of The Hollywood Trainer Weight-Loss Plan: 21 Days to Make Healthy Living a Lifetime Habit and creator of the highly successful Bikini Bootcamp, part of her internationally successful Hollywood Trainer DVD Collection, created to inspire and motivate men and women to live a healthy life.

Lisa Masterson, MD (@drLisaM) – You let this MD inside your home every weekday morning as the co-host of The Doctors. I love Lisa,she’s the OB that every woman wish she had.

Ellie Krieger (@Ellie_Krieger) – Ok, I’m not a cooker, but I enjoy cooking shows. When you get a chance set your DVR to recorde the Cooking Channel’s Healthy Appetite hosted by Ellie Krieger. Great show with a number of healthy options.

Mehment Oz (@DrOz) – I know I’m not the only one who has repeated something that Dr. Oz has said to their own doctor…well maybe I am…LOL! We met Dr. Oz when Oprah Winfrey introduced us to him many years back on her show. Now Dr. Oz has his own show, books, DVDs, and millions of people who hang on his every word.

Art Smith (@chefartsmith) – We are a country of eating out, but Art Smith the author of Back to the Table, and Oprah’s personal chef is trying to get us back to cocking and eating with our family. In the book he gives over 150 recipes that is sure to strengthen bonds between loved ones.

Jillian Michaels (@JillianMichaels) – Remember Jillian on The Biggest Loser, now she has a new gig as a co-host on The Doctors and is the author of Unlimited: How to Build and Exceptional Life. If you’ve never exercised to a Jillian Michaels DVD, then you haven’t worked out, she goes hard.

Joy Bauer (@joybauer) – Joy is the resident nutritionist for NBC’s Today Show. She is constantly giving us helpful tips and tricks to eat better, excise more and life a more fulfilling life.

ShaNay Norvell (@SuperShaNay) – ShaNay Norvell is a fitness artist who trains some of the hottest celebrities in Atlanta. What I love about her tweets is that they are simple enough anyone can do them. As it says on her website, “Her body is her billboard” and that’s definitely the truth.
