Athletes are used to getting asked and signing autographs. It’s a part of being a high-profile sports figure. However, when that signature can impact, change or bring a smile to the life of someone in need, well, that’s just amazing. Such is the case of Wes Welker and Delaney Clements.

He signed the head of  Delaney Clements, a young girl fighting stage IV neuroblastoma. She was one of the children at a celebrity chef event at the children’s hospital in Aurora, Colorado where Welker served as one of the chefs.

She was so happy about his autographs that she said she wouldn’t wash her head ever again.

Now this is good sports news! To Delaney, we wish you well and pray for your healing.

Thanks to cbssports.com for this beautiful story.
