Why Michael Vick is a good fit for the Chiefs

by Angela Davis|@ladyadavis|@jerseygirlsport Michael Vick is still a polarizing figure in the NFL. Sports lovers and their faux-hate along with die-hard fans always have an emotional reaction to Michael Vick. Well, whether you like him or love him, it seems he's found his place back on the field--working with the players. Michael Vick will now be a coaching intern for the Kansas City Chiefs, and head coach and supporter Andy Reid sees Vick as a perfect fit for his impressive resume and overall character.
Experience, and another set of eyes from someone who knows the offense,” Reid said of why he decided to bring in Vick. “And obviously, he brings that respect from being a great player.” He’s one of those guys that whatever he wanted to do, he could do,” Reid added. “He could go into TV, radio, coaching, whatever, I mean he he’s a good people person, you know he’s quiet, but he’s a good people person and he speaks well, and just has a good way about him.
So what's next for Vick? A possible permanent place on the team? It's a possibility, but for now he's with the team in the preseason. In the future, Vick wants to help young QBs develop their skill set.
I think my heart is really into teaching, you know, the game of football," Vick told ESPN’s Adam Schefter on June 2. At some point, I'd definitely love to help work with young quarterbacks and develop them and still compete, you know, with the team and with the coaches.”
Jersey Girl Sports fam I think this is a good fit for Michael Vick. His presence, if nothing else will be a good reminder for rookies to make better choices--on and off the field.
